An old winery was transformed into three luxurious independent villas with private pools, in Vothonas, Santorini. The new canaves, with the way that separated, have acquired a unique character. The height inside these independent villas, as well as the ambient lighting from the skylights and windows, offer the visitor a unique experience. The central courtyard, which is located at a higher level from the road, provides a panoramic view to the settlement and the sea. An internal and external configuration of the space took place. The aim of the modern approach of the buildings was the absolute balance and the integration of the old traditional element with the new. The plasticity of the interior spaces in the villas was achieved by creating built furniture that retain the old character. All the built furniture, such as the beds as well as the flooring are covered with pressed cement screed. Wooden and metal furniture create minimal and elegant areas. Traditional and modern combine into these unique aesthetic villas.
