This 4-star hotel is located on a hill, between Kalafatis and Agia Anna beach in Mykonos and consists of three independent buildings, arranged amphitheatrically according to the natural slope of the terrain. More specifically, the hotel has a total capacity of 15 rooms and features an enclosed reception area, an outdoor restaurant area with a pool bar, a main swimming pool, as well as a gym and spa. Along the northwestern part of the plot, which is also at a higher level, the 2 two-storey buildings of the complex will be arranged, while on the natural shaped plateau in front of the building with the common functions the main central swimming pool will be placed. As the slope of the ground creates naturally a floor level elevation difference from one floor level to the other, below the level of the main swimming pool the third building will eventually unfold, which will be ground floor, so as not to obstruct the sea view in any of the rooms, nor of the hotel’s main areas. The design with the breakdown of the volumes, the setbacks of the floors in the buildings and the alternation of enclosed and open spaces will follow the traditional morphology of the island and the Mykonian architecture will be intensified even more by the proportions of the volumes, the proportions of the openings on them and the gentle smoothing at the edges of buildings. The organization of the common area with the alleys, the small plazas and the stairs as well as the private character in the rooms and their courtyards will create the sense of the Cycladic village, while the choice of materials such as stone, natural wood, white plaster etc., play an important role in the morphology of the complex.
